At True Building Performance, we believe that making your home energy efficient and safe shouldn’t be stressful. That is why we don’t pressure you into a sale. We simply recommend home energy improvement suggestions, and let you make your own decisions. We’ll even tell you what you can do on your own to save yourself some cash!

True Building Performance’s founder and operator, Paul Mendel, is a native of Albany, NY with a construction management degree from nearby HVCC. Having worked several years with the Capital region’s largest weatherization contractor, and tired of the high pressure sales game, he set off on his own. Also a new home builder and realtor, Paul’s goal is to help you make knowledgeable decisions when it comes to your home’s energy efficiency, and his team of energy auditor and insulation installers are always thorough and neat when completing whatever service you need.
