Comfort Home

The Comfort Home program is a way for you to improve your home's energy efficiency and lower your bills. This program allows New Yorkers to receive thousands of dollars in rebates for home upgrades like air sealing and insulation. The comfort home program is available to those above the income requirements for empower plus.

The comfort home program is a way for those who don't qualify for either of the EmPower + tiers to still receive up to $4,000 in rebates for energy efficiency upgrades like air sealing to reduce air leaks into and out of the home and insulation for ceilings, floors, and walls. Comfort Home is offered through NYSERDA and only available through qualified providers.

There are three types of packages within Comfort Home. The first offers incentives up to $1,000 for sealing and insulating attic and rim joist. The next package goes up to $2,500 and includes wall and floor insulation in addition to the services included in the first package. The third package includes everything from the first two packages and also includes retrofitting windows to energy star. More detailed info is available on NYSERDAs website here.
